About Marco Polo Pizza
Marco Polo is the fifth pizza restaurant for partners Gary Mastropolo and Bruno DiFabio. The life long friends grew up just a few short miles from the New York City border in a vastly populated Italian American neighborhood. Having worked in their families restaurants in Manhattan since childhood, the pride of ownership is something they take very seriously.
Being the sons of Italian immigrants, they learned at an early age the advantages of using fresh local ingredients, fine imported products and the essence of producing foods from scratch. Hence the transformation from raw materials their award winning pizza featured on various food network programs. They have been featured in Pizza The Movie, The Today Show, The Rachael Ray Show, The Essence of meril, The Tony Danza Show, and most recently Food Network Record Breakers.
Bruno is a team member of the elite World Pizza Champions, America’s premier pizza team. He has competed internationally and nationally having won 6 medals in cooking and pizza skills competitions.
